You be the judge! - Are we doing enough?

A recent study by the National Academy of Sciences predicted the so called "GREEN" refrigerants, like the HFC blends R410a; R407c and R134  - will contibute to global warming if left unchecked.

SInce 1990 when the CFC R12 was banned and now currently with the incremental phase out of HCFC R22 beginning in 2010 , testing data has shown that ozone depleting "potential" levels have dropped to near zero; But wait, stop the presses - We are still not doing enough - Or are we?

Now with the major emphasis  by manufacturers to adopt and implement processes outlined in the "Montreal Protocol" and the influx of new; updated equipment focusing on the use of HCF type refrigerants this "trend" away from ozone depleting refrigerants has "implications for future climate" says McFarland, an engineer for Dupont Chemical and the author of the article, McFarland notes a "Cap and Reduction" program would help stem this growth.

Are we manufacturing a "Crises"?  Let's see- It seems Dupont and others are developing "next-generation" low GWP refrigerants such as R1234 to replace R134 for automobiles.   Fancy that, a manufacturer already working on a solution for a "potential crises" that doesn't exist.

Of course now that I mentioned this, does global warming even exist?  Or is this another "Manufactured" crises that a few stand to reap "BILLIONS" of dollar from?

Although we would be wise to know the facts and

question the source of the "Spin"
